HELLO

Faye's Whole-Trip Travel Insurance is designed to cover a variety of travel-related issues that could arise during your Steamboat Springs VRBO vacation.

Here's a breakdown of the specific coverage categories and details:

1. Your health

  • Emergency Medical: Up to $250,000 for unexpected illness or injury during your trip (domestic travel is capped at $50,000). This includes costs for physician services, hospitalization, and prescription medication.
  • Medical Evacuation: Up to $500,000 for emergency transportation to the nearest adequate medical facility or for repatriation (return to your home country) if necessary.
  • Non-Medical Emergency Evacuation: Up to $100,000 if you need to be transported from a dangerous area due to events like natural disasters or civil unrest.
  • Pre-existing medical conditions: Faye offers a waiver for coverage related to pre-existing conditions if you purchase your plan within 14 days of your initial trip deposit and are medically fit to travel at the time of purchase. This waiver applies to trip cancellations and interruptions, but not to medical expenses related to the pre-existing conditions themselves.

2. Your trip

  • Trip Cancellation: Up to 100% of your non-refundable trip costs (flights, accommodations, activities, etc.) if you need to cancel for a covered reason. Covered reasons generally include unforeseen circumstances listed in the policy like illness, injury, or severe weather.
  • Trip Interruption: Up to 150% of your non-refundable trip costs and additional transportation expenses if your trip is cut short or extended due to a covered reason.
  • Trip Delay: Up to $300 per day (maximum $2,100 per trip) for delays exceeding six hours due to covered reasons like flight delays, mechanical breakdowns, or unforeseen circumstances outside your control.
  • Missed Connection: Up to $200 if you miss a connection due to a covered delay of at least three hours.
  • Trip Inconveniences & Snafus: Up to $200 per inconvenience (capped at $600 per trip) for events like flight cancellations or delays at security.

3. Your stuff

  • Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Baggage: Up to $2,000 to reimburse you for the depreciated value of your belongings, including personal items and professional equipment. A per-item limit of $150 applies.
  • Baggage Delay: Up to $200 if your bags are delayed for 6 hours or more, or up to $300 if the delay exceeds 12 hours.
  • Lost Passport or Credit Cards: Coverage for expenses related to replacing these documents.
  • Lost or Damaged Sporting and Professional Equipment: Included within the lost or damaged baggage coverage.

4. Optional add-ons (at an additional cost)

  • Vacation Rental Damage Protection: This add-on provides up to $3,000 in coverage for unintentional damage to your VRBO rental property and its contents. Examples include broken furniture, windows, or damaged appliances.
  • Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR): This add-on allows you to cancel your trip for reasons not explicitly listed as covered reasons in the standard policy, and receive reimbursement for up to 75% of your non-refundable trip costs. This add-on must be purchased within 14 days of your initial trip deposit and the cancellation must occur at least 48 hours before departure.
  • Rental Car Damage and Theft: Covers damage to your rental vehicle due to collision, theft, or vandalism.
  • Pet Care: Covers emergency vet expenses for a traveling pet, as well as kennel fees if you are delayed returning home.
  • Adventure and Extreme Sports: Offers additional coverage for accidental and sickness expenses incurred while participating in sports like skiing, snowboarding, or other listed activities.

Remember, it's crucial to review the specific terms and conditions of your Faye policy to fully understand your coverage and any limitations that may apply to your particular trip.
